Description

ALL MOUNTAIN - DIRECTIONAL TWIN

The Doughboy was created in the late 80s by Mike Olson when snowboarding was still rapidly evolving, and no one knew where we were headed except Jamie Lynn. Mike’s concept was a longer camber board on a fixed width stance would provide a smoother ride through rough terrain, float incredibly in powder and the big tips and tails would carve into beautiful arcs on hardpack and ice... he was right! This thing looks a bit intimidating, but it rides like a magical freestyle dream from an alternative universe... the inside of Mike’s mind... our friend Chauncy launches progressive spin missions of this platform on the daily. All the good stuff is built in... eco sublimated TNT fast & Low maintenance base, Aspen Paulownia core, rugged UHMW sidewalls and tip and tail and our new light, strong, Magesium Techno fiber band glass and carbon reinforcement keep this boy poppin.

  • LONG AND SHREDDY... MODERN CLASSIC

Flex

How easily does this snowboard bend under pressure? A soft flex is great for fun maneuverability while a stiff flex is better for aggressive high speed hill bombing.

Like nothing I've experienced...

I'm in the Midwest, my local resort has 350 vertical feet. The Doughboy is way too much board for where I'm at and what I'm used to and I couldn't be happier with it. I typically ride a really flexible 155 so this was like nothing I've experienced. First day on the Doughboy I had less than ideal conditions and it made for a good test. I feel like I can carve through uneven icy groomers like a knife cuts through warm butter. Can't wait to take it somewhere steeper and taller for a real test. One thing to note: Consider how you are going to transport and store this board BEFORE making your purchase. Still make the purchase, but think.. I almost had to strap the thing to the roof of my dinky little sedan, almost had to nail it to my ceiling to store it, and have already dinged door frames, stairs, ceilings, and a light bulb..

Unexpectedly fun!

This thing is a riot! Unexpectedly fun and great carving board! I'm in Maine and this has charged through our typical east coast conditions with little effort. Edge to edge transition is faster and smoother than expected. I will ride this as much as I possibly can now. Not a typical "daily driver" but it just might work for me! If you get a chance to ride one of these you NEED to try it.

Eye popping

3rd year in a row, better get one before there gone cause they might not make them for quite a few years. I've been sledding Doughboy for decades, still people are scared of the long boards, they just take forever to give one a try. The board charges very fast, and very stable, it truly can do everything. Read the reviews. I don't work for them, expert boarder who likes good boards. This year is 185cm super cool

Super Stable + still agile

This weekend was the first time on the Doughboy. What can I say? Of course, I was wondering how that thing rides! Shoe size 9.5. That thing rips! It's such an icredible stable ride which I have never experienced before nor I could think of. Still it's playful, thight turns through moguls are possible. If you are into bikes ... It feels like a Downhill MTB compared to a Cross-Country/All-Mountain which would be a "normal" snowboard. So yes, it's a lot of fun as it is so stable! Still I like to switch between the Doughboy and the TRS+EjackKnive ????

Absolutely shreds

I picked this board up this season looking to get something fun and different to add to my quiver. I normally ride pretty stiff hard charger boards and daily drive a jones aviator, but this thing blows the aviator out of the water when it comes to stability and speed. If you can go fast enough to get board chatter on this, I haven’t yet and it carves crazy well even in ice coast conditions. Not to mention that it is super fun in the park once you get used to spinning with the extra weight and learn the pressure points. It’s definitely not a board for everyone, but if you get the chance to try one it is 100% worth.
