Wir stellen vor: das 8’0 Pickup Stick, das von Mike Olson zusammen mit der Hilfe von Hendo entwickelt wurde. Wie gemacht für Noserides während es gleichzeitig ein spielerisches Shortboard-Feeling bietet. Der flache und breite Nose-Concave sorgt für Speed und gleitet mühelos durch endlos erscheinende Noserides. Die in der Boardmitte recht parallele Outline sorgt für Trim-Speed. Das rounded Pintail, mit dem aggressivsten Rocker all unserer Pickup-Stick Shapes, garantiert müheloses Turning, Kontrolle und Halt bei High-Performance “Archs” über das Tail.
Die Kontur auf der Unterseite des Boards ist der Hauptgrund, welcher dieses Board so magisch macht…fehlerverzeihende, leichte Vertiefungen, sogenannte “Chines” laufen entlang der ganzen Rail-Line bis zu den vorderen Finnen. Das Single to Double Concave mit einem “Double V” am Tail, gibt eine gute Prise Geschwindigkeit dazu und verleiht dem Brett eine smoothe Manövrierbarkeit von Rail zu Rail. Klingt alles kompliziert und das ist es auch, aber alles was Du wissen musst ist, wie mühelos und spassig sich dieses Brett in einer Vielzahl von kleinen Wellen surfen lässt.
Wie fühlt es sich generell an? Das Board fühlt sich deutlich kürzer an, als es ausschaut, egal ob man hinten auf dem Tail steht oder vorne beim Noseride. Stabiler als man meinen möchte….zum einen Mid-Size Board, zum anderen zuverlässiger Noserider, vor allem aber garantierte Wave-Count-Rakete und Spaß-Maximierer.

Great find.
A great design that allows for extreme maneuverability, as well as stability in the pockets of waves of various size in various conditions. Makes catching waves easy. Duck dives as well, surprisingly.

Super fun for anyone, worry free
I am slowly converting my entire quiver to Lib Tech construction boards. They really do feel like a normal glassed board, last an extremely long time, very durable, and most of all I can transport them pretty worry free. Living in an apartment I regularly bonk my boards in the narrow elevator. With Lib Tech, my boards don't get dinged; instead the elevator gets dinged! This board specifically has been one of my favorite purchases so far. I am 5'7 175lbs and currently ride a 5'8 RNF and 5'8 Freakflag Beanbag. Both great boards but when it's two foot and clean, I wanted something else. This board fit the bill. It paddles into waves like you're sliding down a buttered slope, floats like a yacht, and cruises down the line like the beautiful vessel she is. I've even started cross stepping on this board... Wasn't expecting it to hold so well. As I write this I've got it set up with a 7.5" Greenough 4a as suggested by a previous reviewer. Haven't taken it out for anything bigger than 3ft but excited to see how she does. Cheers!

Absolutely smashes
yo no joke, this board flew off my roof while driving down the freeway, barely missed the car behind us and landed across the jersey barrier into oncoming traffic. I thought the board was going to be scrambled eggs, but upon pulling it from the bag and inspecting the damage, found not even a single scratch. this board is built sturdier than my ex-wife. not to mention it rips

One of the Most Fun Boards I've Ridden
Fun, fast, forgiving, and a great all-arounder for the PNW. Whether the waves are tiny, mushy, big, beautiful, or sloppy, the Pickup Stick is my go-to when I'm not sure what to bring. I've shared the board with friends and they've all made it (varying lengths) into their quiver. I have mine on a thruster set up and it's just so fun and reliable for catching just about anything. Get one!
